Jason grew up on his family’s farm in Pigeon, Michigan. He met his wife, Leslie, while they were both students at Ferris State University, and the two have been married since 1996.
After graduation, Jason launched his career as a Chemist at Dow Corning, where he specialized in analytical chemistry and operated an Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS). He spent nearly 20 years in this role, honing his technical and analytical skills.
In 2016, Jason pursued his lifelong passion for personal finance by passing the Series 7, 66, and insurance license exams, while still working full-time as a chemist. He began building his financial planning practice during evenings and weekends, driven by a commitment to helping families and individuals with their financial goals.
By 2018, Jason had earned the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designation. The following year, he transitioned fully into financial services, becoming the majority partner at Butler Associates Financial Planners in St. Louis.
Personal Life
Jason and Leslie reside in Ballwin, Missouri, and are proud parents of one son, currently attending Ole Miss, where he is studying accounting.
Both Jason and Leslie are avid golfers, enjoying the sport together whenever possible. Jason is also a general sports enthusiast. While he has embraced St. Louis life and supports the Cardinals and Blues, his roots still run deep—he can often be found sporting his beloved Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers gear.
